Side handles and cooking tools pins or even dish rags, I always use wet dish rags when opening and closing the bbq/smoker lids. 
4″ sq feet this bbq will never tip over! 
Back lid stopper for the lid and easy to build hinges, I use 3/8th bolt with 2 -3/8th nuts, I shave off the back side of the nut and bolt to allow easy opening and closing. 
Bump stop for the lid – How am I going to get all this paint off my welding table? 
Bump stop supported with a 1/4″ piece of flat bar. 
Painted and BBQ gauge installed 
Slide air vent to allow an even burn of charcoal
